Kristin grew up in Lake Bluff, Illinois and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
Recently settling in California, she spent the past eight years in New York City studying at the Art Student's League and selling her work to various collectors.
Many of her subjects are from old family photographs dating back to the twenties and thirties. Her unique style and ability capture the life and essence of the human (and sometimes animal) spirit.
Says Kristin, "Upon receiving a painting, people often say they feel they have their loved ones right in front of them. This, as well as expressing something of the evanescence of life is what compels and inspires me."
Kristin's paintings hang in galleries in Arizona and throughout collections in the United States and Europe.
